The work will be done by Pool Surfacing 2000, Inc., a local company which has been providing San Diego County residents with quality pool surfaces for over 21 years with over 2000 projects.

Start date:  approx. March 1st - PS2000 is working with the County Health Dept. for approved permits – work will start when permits are issued so this may delay the work a few days.

Preparation Stages:  approx. 2 weeks (thru mid March)
 - The pool’s surface will be ground down to a surface that will accept the new fiberglass lining.
 - Please excuse the grinding noise and the dust that will be generated.
 - It is advised that you keep your windows and doors closed on the pool’s side of the house.
  >  Although the dust is from plaster, the wind can take it all over the place. This dust can simply be hosed off your deck and plants; no harm will come to your plants.

Pool Renovation:  approx. 2 weeks (mid thru late March)
 - Installing the new fiberglass surface
  >  This is a resin-based product and will smell like a surfboard shop.
  >  The smell will dissipate about two hours after the crew leaves each day.
  >  The resin is a food grade resin and will not have an odor when cured. The smell is non-toxic and will not harm anything or anybody
  >  All crews have material safety data sheets in their vehicles if you have any questions.

For safety, the hot tub and gym are also required to be closed during renovations to the pool.

Thank you for your consideration and patience as we proceed!

In August 2020 we did a Le R security walk thru with San Diego Police Dept, there were no major recommendations from SDPD but the following was emphasized:
  • Vehicles:  Lock them and do not leave anything visible inside that would tempt a thief to break in such as sunglasses, boxes, bags or anything at all
  • Bikes and Boards:  It is highly recommended to not store “high end” items that are expensive, even if approved by the Board – a thief will target them and cut high end locks
  • Garage Lobby Doors:  close these at sunset
  • Garage Gates:  ensure these close before driving away
  • Lobby Doors, Courtyard Gates and Garage Gates: ensure they close behind you and don’t allow strangers to enter
  • If anyone else tries to enter Le Rondelet, please speak with them or contact either the Le Rondelet Staff or the Police; call 911, or for non-emergencies call 619-531-2000
  • Le Rondelet Security Cameras:
    • 7 new ones are being added to provide coverage of courtyard gates and stairwell entrances, garage gate entrances, and the front door portico area
We are relying on each other, and our guest, to keep Le Secure
Please be attentive and report concerns immediately!

Clicker Code Change - 10/29/20
Due to a garage gate / lobby door clicker being stolen when a car was stolen from the garage, we changed the code for the clickers on Thursday the 29th of October.  Nick (619-224-4137, lerondelet@hotmail.com) or Alex can assist with changing your clicker to the new code.

Safety & Security - 8/25/20

Our Security Walkthrough with the SDPD went well.  Some recommendations made by the police officer:
  • Lock your vehicles
  • Do not leave anything visible inside your vehicle parked in the garage, in the parking lot or on the street; sunglasses or bags / packages of any kind will be a tempting target
  • It is highly recommended to not store in your garage parking space any “high end” bikes or surfboards, even if approved by the Board; no matter how good the lock, they find ways to cut it
  • Ensure the lobby doors, courtyard gates and garage gates have closed behind you
  • If anyone else tries to enter Le Rondelet, please speak with them or contact either the Le Rondelet staff or the police; in addition to calling 911 for people that are clearly doing something criminal, you can also call the police at 619-531-2000 for assistance if it is unclear
  • Le Rondelet Security Cameras:
    • The existing cameras are being upgraded
    • 7 new ones are being added to provide coverage of courtyard gates and stairwell entrances, garage gate entrances, and the front door portico area
